MissionAndPurpose	ABAAD is a non-profit, non-political, non- … ABAAD is a non-profit, non-political, non-religious civil association that aims to achieve gender equality as an essential condition to sustainable social and economic development in the MENA region. ABAAD also seeks to support and collaborate with civil society organizations that are involved in gender equality programs and advocacy campaigns. ABAAD brings together a dynamic pool of resources, human rights activists, lawyers, consultants, social workers and researchers dedicated to bringing dimensions of gender equality to life. Together, this team is working for a world where men and women live as equal partners and work together to build a future where all are empowered and participate equally in decisions affecting their lives and their communities. Ending violence and inequality in the MENA region requires working across many dimensions. ABAAD seeks to promote women’s equality and participation through policy development, legal reform, gender mainstreaming, engaging men, eliminating discrimination, and advancing and empowering women to participate effectively and fully in their communities. ABAAD also seeks to support and collaborate with civil society organizations that are involved in gender equality programs and advocacy campaigns. ABAAD’s area of expertise is in gender equality and the elimination of gender-based violence through strategies and action plans, rights and protection policies, protocols and codes of conduct, fundraising and partnering, designing and implementing activities, evaluating programs, building and administering trainings, conducting research and studies, and designing advocacy and media campaigns. ABAAD believes that multi-dimensional strategies are required to bring their vision to life. The organization develops policies to ensure that women’s rights are protected, builds capacity of organizations in their work on gender equality, strengthens the rule of law to protect women from discrimination, and engages men and boys to say no to violence.
