Self Help Initiative (SEHI), Brookfields, Sierra Leone Self Help Initiative was founded and established by Mrs. Ibiduni Jones on April 12, 1994, as a direct result of the untold sufferings of people in Sierra Leone, particularly children.

Sub-Saharan Africa suffers some of the highest rates of maternal deaths in the world. But deaths of women during pregnancy or childbirth have fallen by 61% in the Bo district of Sierra Leone since Doctors Without Borders set up a clinic in a remote area. Read more at Al Jazeera
