About
Affirmative Action in Human Rights and Health (AADS) is a nongovernmental organization that works with the goals of reducing the number of deaths and injury associated with abortions, expanding the ability of women to exercise their rights to sexual and reproductive health, and improve the access to health services associated with reproduction, including legal abortion services under appropriate conditions. Among the programs developed by the Affirmative Action in Human Rights and Health (AADS), we can cite medical training programs, research, advocacy of women's rights, support for medical access to current technologies for reproductive health programs and maintenance of information and dissemination reproductive health.
Desde 1994 até junho de 2011, a AADS esteve trabalhando sob o nome de Ipas Brasil pela melhoria da qualidade da atenção às mulheres vitimadas pela violência sexual e nas complicações derivadas do aborto inseguro nas várias regiões do país visando contribuir para a redução dos altos índices de morbi-mortalidade nesta causa.
